THE EMCEE

Vic McCarty frequently serves as the Master of Ceremonies.  Some of his closer friends think he only does it because it entails the title "Master".  If you are at a swanky private event you may see Vic McCarty's name in the program followed by one of these credits: MC, Emcee, or MJ (for Microphone Jockey) which is a personal favorite of "The Master".

The dictionary says that "the MC is to be the host of an official public or private staged event or other performance. The MC usually presents performers, speaks to the audience, and generally keeps the event moving. The MC sometimes also acts as the protocol officer during an official state function."  If there are any state functions looking for an MC, please book Mr. McCarty, because we'd all like to see what kind of protocol the Microphone Jockey would officiate.
